ShotLine is the most appropriate smart factory solution in the manufacturing field in the new normal era triggered by COVID-19.” Lee Dong-Lyul, CEO of ITOFROM, says that ShotLine can identify various information generated from molds in real time through a wireless environment, making all management possible non-face-to-face. In fact, this solution calculates accurate production volume through shot counts for each mold, while also predicting production volume, and provides a management environment that can determine optimal production volume through management of cycle time by time period. It is currently being used in a variety of mold production lines, from Company S, Korea's largest electronics company, to Company A and L, global cosmetics companies. CEO Lee Dong-Lyul said, “We will expand the market from the existing smart factory market centered on large corporations to small and medium-sized manufacturers.”

Q. What is your main business?

A. ITOFROM is a company that produces and sells ‘ShotLine’, a smart factory solution. 'ShotLine' collects, analyzes, and displays various big data information about molds at manufacturing sites where molds are used, providing an integrated approach from production management to asset and cost management, quality management, maintenance, and partner management. It is an intelligent mold management solution that can be managed.

Q. What are the special advantages of the ShotLine solution?

A. The 'ShotLine' solution includes a 'ShotLine counter (sensor)' installed in the mold to collect information, a 'ShotLine terminal' that stably transmits the data collected from the counter to the server, and analysis of the collected big data. It consists of a 'ShotLine Solution (SW)' that shows indicators for mold and production or quality control, such as production volume and cycle time.

In particular, the 'ShotLine Counter' installed in the mold wirelessly transmits data generated from the mold in real time 24 hours a day based on the patents we hold, enabling users to check information about the mold in real time. It is a new concept sensor based on technology.

Q. How was business performance in the first half of the year, and what are your expectations for the second half?

A. ITOFROM's intelligent smart factory solution, 'ShotLine', is being used in various mold production lines, including all production lines of Company S, Korea's largest electronics company, as well as Company A and Company L, global cosmetics companies. Currently, as the first-generation digital counter has been upgraded to a second-generation digital counter product with IoT technology added, it is targeting related markets as a further enhanced smart factory solution.

In the first half of this year alone, sales have grown by more than 50% compared to the first half of the previous year, achieving explosive sales growth, and are expected to record sales more than three times compared to the previous year through the influx of new customers in domestic and overseas markets by the end of the year.

Recently, many global companies, including Company D, a global home appliance company, Company P and L, global household goods companies, and Company A and E, global technology companies, are taking the lead in building smart factories by introducing our solutions one after another. In the future, when the introduction of smart factories begins to take full effect both domestically and internationally, it is expected that the number of 'ShotLine' customers will increase explosively in the second half of the year.

In addition, ITOFROM plans to soon implement a subscription-type Cloud service to expand the market to small and medium-sized manufacturers in the existing smart factory market centered on large corporations. The 'ShotLine' cloud service for smart factory introduction can be used in the form of a relatively inexpensive monthly subscription, so it is expected to provide an excellent smart factory introduction environment for small and medium-sized companies that are burdened with initial introduction costs.

Q. What products can I see at ‘Smart Factory+Automation World 2021’?

A. ITOFROM's 'ShotLine' is becoming the standard for smart factories that realize smart management for manufacturing sites that use molds for the first time in Korea. Until now, the manufacturing environment using molds has not been digitized, and because it relies on mechanical counters, the reality is that accurate production volume, cycle time, and movement or leakage of molds, which are expensive assets, have not been managed. However, 'ShotLine' calculates accurate production volume through shot counts for each mold, and can even predict production volume based on this. It can also determine the optimal production volume through management of cycle time by time zone, allowing managers to manage production and We provide a management environment where you can kill two birds with one stone: quality.

For example, in the case of Company A, our main client, demand from overseas customers has increased rapidly due to the recent popularity of 'K-Beauty', but counterfeit products have also increased significantly, making product and brand management difficult. However, with the introduction of our solution, it became possible to identify and manage mold leaks and production volume, making it possible to deal with the counterfeit product market.

In this way, Itprum's intelligent smart factory solution 'ShotLine' can transform an outdated manufacturing environment into a smarter management environment by providing a management environment that has not been seen in the existing manufacturing environment.

Q. What is your booth operation plan to increase the promotional effect of the exhibited products?

A. In order to promote the effectiveness of the introduction of the Shot Line, we plan to place a jig in the booth to show customers in detail how it operates and operates after being installed in the mold on site. In addition, by displaying the ShotLine Solution (SW) screen that can be viewed online, we will show how the collected data can be visualized and delivered to customers on their screens.

Q. What are your future plans?

A. I think ITOFROM's 'ShotLine' is the most suitable smart factory solution in the manufacturing field in the new normal era triggered by Corona. In sites where existing molds were used, the molds, which were expensive assets, were often managed directly by people. However, ITOFROM's 'ShotLine' has the advantage of being able to grasp various information generated from the mold in real-time through a wireless environment, making all management possible non-face-to-face. In fact, recently, many companies at home and abroad are considering the introduction of smart factories and are also considering creating a non-face-to-face environment through smart factories, which is expected to lead to explosive market expansion. Accordingly, 2021 can be said to be a year in which explosive sales growth is expected for ITOFROM due to full-scale business expansion. We plan to increase the proportion of overseas sales by targeting the global market beyond the domestic market.
